For my late wife, Katie, the ocean was more than just a view it was home. The rhythm of the waves, the salty breeze, and the ever-changing sky brought her peace, joy, and inspiration. It was her dream to create a place where others could experience that same tranquility, and in 2018, A Wave From It All was born.

Katie and I shared 43 wonderful years together, building a life filled with love, family, and adventure in Port Saunders the town where I was born and where we chose to raise our two sons. She had a deep appreciation for the raw beauty of this place, from the rugged coastline to the warmth of the people who call it home. She embraced every season, whether it was snowmobiling in the winter, beachcombing in the summer, or simply sitting by the shore, listening to the waves crash against the rocks.

Her vision for these oceanfront cottages was simple to create a retreat where guests could step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with nature, with each other, and with themselves. She wanted people to wake up to the soothing sound of the waves, take in the breathtaking sunsets, and experience the magic of outport Newfoundland.

Though Katie is no longer with us, her dream and her spirit live on in this special place. Every sunrise over the water, every quiet evening by the fire, reminds me of the love and passion she poured into creating A Wave From It All. It brings me comfort knowing that her dream continues, welcoming others to experience the beauty she held so dear.
